Posima(TM) Announces Free Web Sites for Nonprofits

Limited number of free one-year accounts available to nonprofits during February

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 1, 2006 -- For many nonprofit organizations, a Web presence is pretty far down the to-do list, thanks to time and resource constraints. But it may be time to check off that particular action item: For this month only, Posima(TM) (http://www.posima.com) is offering a limited number of free one-year accounts to nonprofits.

And there's no catch. Included in the accounts are monthly Web hosting, e-mail accounts, site design and content management - all free for one year. Recipients will need to provide their own domain names, which can be purchased at various domain name resellers for around $8 per year.

Sign-up is first-come, first-served, though Posima will be checking to ensure applicants are legitimate nonprofits. Once the organizations have been verified, their Posima-powered sites will be up and running free of charge through the end of Feb. 2007. At that point, recipients can choose to continue using Posima's service at the normal monthly charge of $35.

Throughout the month of June 2006, Posima users, including the nonprofits, will vote on which nonprofit organization's Web site makes the best use of the Posima service. The top ten will win two more free years with Posima.

For short-staffed nonprofits, a free year of Posima service is a gift indeed. Launched late last year, Posima is all about ease of use for Web novices. Users need no knowledge of html or any other programming language to change the look and feel of their sites, including forms, colors, graphics, photos, text, slide shows, PayPal(R) integration (with "Make a Donation" buttons if desired) and even mailing lists. Unlimited pages are included with every Posima account, including the free ones. User-friendly buttons allow the user to control every aspect of his or her site and publish it to the Web instantly once it's just right. Detailed tutorials walk users through the entire process of creating a Posima-powered site.

"From the beginning, Posima has focused on helping small businesses and nonprofits easily establish their Web presences," stated Posima founder Chad Sakonchick. "The free accounts we'll be giving to nonprofits this month underscore our commitment to supporting the good works nonprofits do. We are committed to being the service for everyone out there who thought they didn't have the time or know-how to create their own Web sites."

Nonprofits interested in taking advantage of Posima's offer can go to http://www.posima.com, click on the "Posima Cares" button on the home page, and complete a short form. If they are one of the first 100 legitimate nonprofits to respond during the month of February, they will receive one year of Posima service at no charge.
