World Organization of Webmasters (WOW) has been named a 2005 sponsor of the Web Marketing Association’s 9th annual WebAward Competition (www.2005webaward.org), the Internet’s premier award competition.

Folsom, CA (PRWEB) March 31, 2005 -- World Organization of Webmasters (WOW), a non profit professional association dedicated to the support of individuals and organizations who create, manage or market Web sites, has been named a 2005 sponsor of the Web Marketing Association’s 9th annual WebAward Competition (www.webaward.org), the Internet’s premier award competition that judges website development against an ever increasing Internet standard of excellence and against peer sites within an industry.

The WebAward Competition recognizes the individual and team achievement of web professionals who create and maintain outstanding web sites. The Deadline for entry in the 2005 WebAwards is June 1, 2005.

"Web professionals play such a critical role in the success of a Website and having the ability to be recognized for their outstanding efforts is part of the focus of both our organizations".

More than 1,300 sites from 21 countries were adjudicated in 90 industry categories during last year's competition. Entries are judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology. The competition was judged by a team of independent Internet professionals representing a variety of relevant disciplines of Web site development. Judges included members of the media, advertising executives, site designers, creative directors, corporate marketing executives, content providers and webmasters.

The 2005 WebAward Competition was sponsors include BURST!
